The family of a British businessman have demanded answers after he died suddenly while on holiday in Morocco.
Dad-of-two Allen McKenna, 47, was in Casablanca with his 25-year-old Moroccan girlfriend Majda Mjaoual in February when he collapsed. The girlfriend told his family that he had died of a heart attack, and said he had been buried in the country – but did not provide a location. Now, Mr McKenna’s heartbroken family have said they are eager to find out what happened to him, and are urging authorities in Britain and Morocco to help them.
They also allege that Majda has not been replying to calls and text messages.
His dad, Alan, who lives in Adelaide, Australia, has described the situation as “soul destroying”. He told Australia’s 9 News: “It’s soul destroying. I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do.
“He deserves better. He deserves to come back here to South Australia and then all the family can have closure.”
