“US Unearths Million Docs Tied to Jeffrey Epstein”

US authorities have uncovered over a million additional documents potentially linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a notorious paedophile. The documents are set to be released in the near future. The US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the FBI have informed the Department of Justice (DoJ) about this significant discovery and have handed over the documents for legal review, causing a delay in meeting the congressionally mandated deadline set for last Friday.

The DoJ stated on social media that their legal team is working tirelessly to review and redact the necessary information to protect the victims before releasing the documents promptly. Due to the substantial volume of material, the process is expected to take a few more weeks. The agency reiterated its commitment to complying fully with federal law and President Trump’s directive to disclose the files.

The details regarding how the FBI and New York prosecutors came across the additional documents and when the Justice Department was made aware of them were not specified in the statement released on Christmas Eve. This revelation followed a plea from a group of senators, including 11 Democrats and a Republican, urging the Justice Department’s watchdog to conduct an independent audit to ensure full disclosure for the victims.

The recent discovery of these new documents follows the release of thousands of files last week by the Justice Department related to the Epstein investigations. These documents, some heavily redacted, were made public after the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by President Trump. The Act mandates the agency to share all documents with the public while safeguarding the identities of the victims.

Among the materials disclosed last week were transcripts of grand jury testimonies from FBI agents detailing interviews with young women who recounted being compensated for engaging in sexual activities with Epstein. Additionally, newly released records include a note from a federal prosecutor indicating that President Trump had flown on Epstein’s private plane more frequently than previously known. There were also emails between Ghislaine Maxwell and an individual designated as ‘A,’ with indications pointing to the possibility that ‘A’ could be Britain’s Prince Andrew, who has consistently denied any involvement with Epstein.

Republican representative Thomas Massie accused the Justice Department of illegal redactions and missing the deadline, as stipulated by the transparency act. However, the White House defended the department’s handling of the Epstein records, praising Attorney General Bondi and her team for diligently executing the president’s directives.
