Gabby Logan openly discussed intimate details about her personal life on a podcast, which unintentionally became the background noise for her son, Reuben Logan, during his gym sessions. Reuben, a Scotland Under-20s international player now signed with Sale Sharks, found himself lifting weights in the company of his mother’s candid conversations about her sex life with his father, Kenny.
Following his father’s footsteps, Kenny, a former Scotland and Wasps wing, had battled prostate cancer in 2022, undergoing successful treatment. This experience sparked open discussions about the potential effects of prostate cancer treatment, including erectile dysfunction, which led to a positive dialogue within the family.
The public disclosure of his parents’ private matters gained attention in the media and was featured on Gabby’s podcast, “The Mid Point,” much to the amusement of Reuben’s rugby teammates who played it on repeat during their workouts.
Recounting the incident, Reuben shared his embarrassment at hearing the podcast in the gym and jokingly asked his mother to consider his presence in a rugby environment. Despite the teasing from friends, both Reuben and Kenny handled the situation with humor and grace.
Reflecting on his recovery, Kenny mentioned the challenges he faced post-treatment, emphasizing the importance of patience and progress in his healing journey. Meanwhile, Reuben expressed his initial shock at his father’s diagnosis but was inspired to excel in rugby to make his father proud.
Recently making a move from Northampton to Sale, Reuben aims to elevate his performance after debuting in the Premiership for Northampton last season.
