Dani Dyer has revealed details about her past romantic relationships with Sammy Kimmence and Jack Fincham, acknowledging that she had chosen the wrong partners. The 29-year-old rose to fame after participating in the popular ITV dating show, Love Island, in 2018, where she emerged as the winner alongside Jack.
Following her breakup with Jack shortly after their Love Island victory, Dani rekindled her relationship with Sammy, whom she had dated prior to the show. Together, they welcomed their son, Santiago, in January 2021.
However, their relationship took a turn in July of the same year when Sammy was sentenced to three years in prison for his involvement in a £34k scam. Dani, speaking on Jamie Laing’s podcast, admitted to her past mistakes in choosing partners but expressed no remorse for those experiences.
Reflecting on her time with Sammy, Dani acknowledged that revisiting that relationship was a mistake, mentioning that Sammy had not been ready to commit before Love Island. Despite the challenges, she emphasized that becoming a mother to Santi had positively transformed her.
Dani mentioned that she and Sammy were maintaining a cordial relationship for the sake of their son, ensuring that he felt secure amidst their circumstances. She now shares twin children, Summer and Star, with her current husband, Jarrod Bowen, expressing occasional guilt over her son’s situation of having separated parents.
During her conversation, Dani also confessed to not visiting Sammy while he was incarcerated and feeling naive for overlooking certain aspects of his life. She recognized her misjudgment in choosing partners, noting that her priorities did not align with Jack’s desires, ultimately leading to their incompatibility.
