The Department of Justice has refuted a rape allegation against President Donald Trump that surfaced in the recent release of the Epstein files, dismissing it as “untrue and sensationalist.” Among over 11,000 documents made public, the FBI case file (EFTA00020518) from October 2020 contains the accusation of rape implicating Trump.
In the redacted file, an unnamed woman is quoted alleging that Trump raped her, linking him to Jeffrey Epstein. However, the accuser’s identity remains undisclosed, with all personal details withheld.
The Department of Justice swiftly responded to the rape claim, labeling it as baseless and false. They emphasized that if the allegations held any merit, they would have been exploited against President Trump already. Trump has voiced his frustration over individuals being unfairly associated with Epstein due to appearing in released photographs. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing in his interactions with Epstein.
Trump, speaking at an event in his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, reiterated his innocence regarding his ties to Epstein, mentioning that many respected figures innocently crossed paths with Epstein in the past. The FBI document containing the accusation from the Epstein Files can be accessed in its entirety here.
