Daughter Speaks Out: Father Charged in Mother’s Murder

A woman has come forward for the first time to share her experience after her father allegedly manipulated her to lure her mother to her death. Alison Galvani, a Yale epidemiology professor, was just five years old when her mother, Nancy, was brutally murdered in 1982. It is believed that her father, Galvani, 81, used her as a pawn in the tragic event. Nancy’s body was discovered in August of that year, inside a sleeping bag near the San Mateo Bridge in Foster City, California.

The case remained unsolved for decades until a recent breakthrough. The Foster City Police Department announced on November 24 that Galvani had been arrested and charged with Nancy’s murder.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Alison expressed her gratitude for the authorities seeking justice for her mother. She commended their dedication in bringing light to even the darkest cases.

Alison revealed that she had long harbored fears that her father had orchestrated the situation to lead her mother to her demise. This haunting incident has stayed with her for years, culminating in a confrontation with Galvani in 2008 where she accused him of her mother’s death.

Galvani allegedly responded by claiming it was not his fault. Although he was initially a suspect in the investigation, charges against him were dropped due to insufficient evidence and witnesses. His lawyer at the time noted that he had passed a polygraph test and cited Nancy’s purported mental health issues.

Galvani’s attorney, Douglas Horngrad, maintains his client’s innocence and believes that the case will ultimately result in exoneration. However, prosecutors argue that they have substantial evidence to secure a conviction. At the time of Nancy’s death, she and Galvani were no longer together.

Galvani is currently in custody without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on January 15.
