“Aldi Introduces Dubai-Style Chocolate Spread, Fans Rave”

A new version of the famous Dubai-style chocolate bar has caught the attention of Aldi customers, now available in a spreadable format. The chocolate bar, initially gaining popularity in 2023, contains a pistachio-tahini cream and kadayif, a chopped filo pastry, encased in milk chocolate.

There are conflicting reports about the origins of this creation, with Fix Dessert Chocolatier credited as the first to go viral, while Filipino chef Nouel Catis Omamalin and British-Egyptian engineer Sarah Hamouda claim to have developed the recipe in 2021.

The high demand for this product has led to the release of similar items by renowned brands like Lindt, Marks and Spencer, Lidl, and others. Aldi has joined the trend by introducing its own version of the chocolate bar, along with new offerings such as a £1.99 ice cream and the Dubai-style spread under its Dairyfine brand.

Dairyfine is known for its wide range of affordable chocolate bars, snacks, and treats, including Dairyfine Giant Buttons, Titan bars, and Mini Eggs. The pistachio chocolate spread inspired by Dubai flavors is the latest addition, providing fans with a cost-effective way to enjoy the popular taste.

A TikTok user named Ell recently discovered numerous jars of the spread at her local Aldi store and shared a video on the platform, garnering over 842,000 views and numerous enthusiastic comments from shoppers eager to try the product.

Among the comments, one user praised the spread’s taste and affordability at £3.99, while another inquired about the texture, which Ell confirmed includes crunchy bits. Several users expressed their enjoyment of the product, with some admitting to finishing an entire jar and others relishing it straight from the spoon.

However, some customers expressed disappointment over the unavailability of the product in their local stores, particularly in the US, where Aldi’s Dubai-chocolate inspired items are not accessible. Calls were made for Aldi to introduce these products in the US market to cater to the demand.

Despite the desire for wider availability, one user humorously pointed out that if the product were sold in the US, it would likely be in high demand both nationally and internationally. Additionally, a customer mentioned the absence of Dubai chocolate ice cream in the US, further highlighting the desire for these unique products to be accessible globally.
